Today was again full of the rich sounds and spicy aromas of exciting India! Most of the crew sampled curry for breakfast while I gave my system a rest with toast but made up for it with delicious butter chicken for lunch.
We all travelled in auto rickshaws or tuktuks to the meeting place which got our pulses racing. Kicking off we heard Helen’s testimony and a comprehensive and compelling devotion from Norm. The gentle kindness shown to us by all has been humbling and joyful as has the times of praise with the ladies joining in an enthusiastic praise time involving dance. It was good to see the blokes almost joining in as the sense of fellowship grew!
The day finished early at 5pm with the team now more at ease in leading group sessions. The men rested while the ladies had some retail therapy.
During dinner we realised there was an Indian wedding ceremony starting in the hall next door. It was a feast of colourful decorations and fascinating rituals. We were warmly welcomed and some of us were ushered to the front to meet the bride and groom and pose for photos.
We look forward to another day of learning and fellowship on Thursday.
